5 V-Day Movies You Need to Watch

Calling all movie lovers! Get your popcorn. Get your chocolates. Get your blankets. Because we've got the top 5 Valentine's Day movies that will prepare you for February 14. And the best part? Thanks to the pandemic, you already have the perfect setup for a movie marathon!

1. Valentine's Day

How could we not include this movie? If you don't have any plans on V-Day, spend it with a bunch of LA locals. Follow along through the break-ups, the make-ups, the blunders, young love, old love, and potentially some love at first sight. It's hard not to find something relatable in the many stories told throughout this movie.

2. Pride and Prejudice

"You have bewitched me body and soul." We all melted when Mr. Darcy said this to Elizabeth. And if this line doesn't get you in the mood, the beautiful music of Dario Marianelli sure will. It's never a bad idea to watch this classic. Even if you aren't a period classic or Jane Austen fan, you can't avoid this movie. So forget your pride and sit down and watch.

3. 50 First Dates

Fear of commitment and short-term memory loss. How do these two things relate? Three words: 50 First Dates. Adam Sandler's character finally finds his dream girl. But. There's a little problem. She can't remember him. So every day, he begins again trying to win her over. It's hilarious and also incredibly sweet and is one you keep watching over and over again (even if you don't have short-term memory loss.)

4. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

We love this movie because it's got everything. It has sports, Matthew McConaughey, motorcycles, diamonds, romance, humor, Matthew McConaughey, and some drunk singing. What more could you ask for? But really, whether you are a man or a woman, single or taken, this movie is a must-watch. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll definitely thank us later.

5. A Walk to Remember

We've all watched The Notebook but really the better Nicholas Sparks adaption is A Walk to Remember. I'm warning you now, you're going to ugly cry. So get your box of tissues and a blanket and be ready. It's a coming-of-age romance that will tug your heartstrings. Plus, who doesn't love Mandy Moore?

We hope these favorites of ours bring the love and make your Valentine's Day a little better. We'd love to hear what you think or if you have any movies you think you should have made it into our top 5. Let us know in the comments below! 👇
